MEANING OF ISO CERTIFICATION:
ISO, which stands for the International Organization for Standardization, issues certifications that serve as endorsements from an independent, non-governmental body comprising 162 national standard bodies. This certification indicates that a company adheres to one of the globally recognized standards established and published by ISO.
- ISO 9001: This standard outlines the requirements for implementing a quality management system (QMS). Companies use ISO 9001 to showcase their capability in consistently delivering products and services that meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.
- ISO 22000: This standard delineates the criteria for a food safety management system, which organizations can seek certification for. It delineates the procedures necessary for demonstrating the ability to manage food safety risks effectively and ensure the safety of food products.
- ISO 14001: ISO 14001 lays down the specifications for an efficient environmental management system (EMS). Rather than dictating environmental performance criteria, it offers a framework that organizations can adopt to manage their environmental impact effectively.
- ISO 18001: This standard serves as the benchmark for health and safety management systems. It provides guidelines for establishing and maintaining systems that ensure the health and safety of employees within an organization.
Section 57 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 provides for the grounds for Rectification of the Register. An application for rectification or cancellation of a trademark can also be filed on the grounds of non-use of the trademark for a prescribed period of time after the registration of the trademark. An application for rectification of a registered trade mark is required to be filed before the same Trade Marks Registry where the application for its registration was filed.
